Fremantle Flour Sack Overshirt

Straight fit chore jacket style overshirt with a camp collar and straight cut sleeves, made from deadstock indigo pinstripe cotton and a vintage flour sack. Bold red and blue text adorn one side of the overshirt, paired with the classic ticking stripe reminiscent of utilitarian workwear. There has been a long history of repurposing flour and feed sacks into clothing since the late 19th century, and during the Great Depression, it was so normalised that companies designed sacks specifically for clothes-making. Consider this shirt a modern interpretation of that tradition.

Finished with deadstock off-white shirt buttons. Lower front utility pocket for all your essentials. This overshirt is great worn on its own, and can be layered over a roll neck in colder months or as lightweight overshirt in Spring. Fits approximately a Medium, depending on preference of fit. Armpit to armpit: 23", length from shoulder: 26", sleeve: 23.5".
